Local owners love their brand new homes at Vue
Robina Group is enjoying a busy start to the new year, following Vue Terrace Homes posting $8 million of sales in just 8 weeks to wrap up 2020, marking one of the biggest sales periods in the community’s history.
The stellar sales run comes on the back of increasing demand from local owner-occupiers, looking to step straight into a brand-new home in a central location, with an array of dining, shopping, entertainment, public transport and employment opportunities in easy reach.
This local demand is reflected in recent market research released by CoreLogic which highlighted:
“housing markets build momentum through the end of 2020, pointing to a strong start to 2021.”
The January report by research director Tim Lawless, stated Australian home values finished the year 3% higher. It noted regional Queensland housing values (including the Gold Coast) rose by 6.9%, a rate of capital gain that was more than three times higher than the combined capitals, where home values were up 2% over 2020.
Despite the expected volatility around March and April in 2020, record low interest rates and strong consumer confidence together with remote working opportunities saw regional housing values surge as demand outweighed supply.
According to Mr Lawless, there are now more active buyers than new listings being added to the market.
“Despite new listing numbers being lower relative to their 2019 levels, the number of home sales was almost 8% higher through 2020 compared with 2019. This imbalance between effective supply and demand is another factor that has supported a rise in housing prices as a sense of urgency returned to the market. With home buyers outnumbering sellers, most areas around the country represent a seller’s market.”
Located on Vue Boulevard in the heart of Robina on the Gold Coast, Vue Terrace Homes is not only catching the eye of local buyers, but also those looking to relocate from interstate, reinforcing the comments from CoreLogic.
Robina Group recently put the finishing touches on the final stage in Vue, meaning all three bedroom plus multi-purpose room terraces in the gated community are now complete and ready to move into.
First home buyer, Sam Grima (pictured), was among the latest purchasers to move into his new property at Vue and said he had found the ‘perfect location’ to call home.
The 27-year-old engineer, a born and bred Gold Coaster, said rather than renting, he had been living with his parents and saving for his dream home.
“I have lived in Merrimac my whole life and wanted to stay in the vicinity, so I am close to the beach and the M1 Motorway, along with all the other great amenities in Robina – there is so much here,” said Mr Grima.
“Vue is the perfect location and, as a structural engineer, I also love its architectural design.”
Mr Grima said the personalised support from purchase through to settlement had made buying for the first time incredibly easy.
“Purchasing your first home is a big step but it was smooth sailing because the Vue team went above and beyond,” he said, adding “I am stoked.”
Robina Group development manager Darrell Irwin said that local downsizers and upsizers had been leading the charge with recent sales, but noted that there has also been strong interest from first home buyers in Robina.
“Vue is one of the few communities with completed homes on offer anywhere on the Gold Coast – and the central suburb of Robina is particularly sought-after – so that has been driving significant interest from those wanting to move straight into a new home.
Mr Irwin said across the board, purchasers were attracted to the architectural design, with all details including orientation, natural lighting, views, breezes and privacy considered.
“The three bedroom homes each feature generous living spaces, 2.5 bathrooms, dedicated study and media space, clever storage, a spacious and secure courtyard, high-speed internet connectivity and access to a resort-style pool and recreation deck,” he said.
“On top of that, they offer a property in Robina, close to major public transport, hospitals, schools, universities and shops and at the doorstep of the expansive new Robina City Parklands, set to be transformed into the city’s central park this year.”
