$20,000 First Home Owners Grant extended to the end of 2017

The Queensland Government has committed to keeping the Queensland First Home Owners’ Grant (QLD FHOG) at $20,000 for another 5 months until 31 December 2017. Previously the QLD FHOG was due to decrease from $20,000 to $15,000 starting from the 1st of July 2017.

Why did the government decide to extend the grant?

According to the QLD government, they recognise the difficulty for first home buyers to get into the housing market and have acted accordingly.

“This is one of the most effective ways of helping families to get a start with a new home” said Treasurer Curits Pitt.

The grant is valid for brand new homes valued at up to $750,000.

Another initiative by the government is to allow first home buyers to use their superannuation towards a home deposit. You can read more about it here.

All Vue Terrace Homes qualify for the grant and we’ve compiled more information here so you can see if you’re eligible.

Vue Terrace homes are 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom and 2 car spaces starting from $599,000 and are located within walking distance of Robina Town Centre and the train station.

$20,000 towards your first brand new home will get you off to a great start so don’t miss out on this fantastic incentive.
